For Rita Carter, locs have never been just about hair — they are about identity, confidence, heritage, and power.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience, Rita has built Majistic Locs into a brand rooted in passion, purpose, and community. Raised in Detroit as the oldest of 12 children in a household that knew struggle intimately, she learned early that hard work, faith, and integrity were non-negotiable. She carried that foundation through high school basketball at Cody, through Adrian College — where she became one of the first in her family to earn a degree — and through a transformative chapter in New York City that forever changed how she saw the world and her place in it.
What started as a passion for natural hair grew into a calling. Today, Majistic Locs represents more than a service — it represents a movement of self-love, empowerment, and transformation. Rita's signature approach combines technical precision, artistic vision, and a deep respect for the cultural significance of locs. From traditional loc maintenance and retwists to crochet method repairs, restoration, and extensions, every service is delivered with intention and rooted in healthy hair education.
