Can I start for free?
Absolutely. The Starter plan is free forever — no credit card required. You get a professional profile, booking page, and up to 25 bookings per month. Upgrade whenever you're ready.
Do I pay commission on my own clients?
Never. Every plan — including Starter — charges 0% commission on clients you bring to the platform yourself. Your existing clients, your revenue. We only charge a small one-time referral fee when our marketplace helps you discover a brand new client.
What's the marketplace referral fee?
When a client discovers you through the Majistic marketplace (not someone you brought), we charge a one-time referral fee on their first booking only: 20% on Starter, 10% on Professional, and 0% on Elite. After that first booking, they're your client — no more fees, ever. Unlike StyleSeat which takes 30% on every new client booking, we only charge once.
How is this different from StyleSeat?
StyleSeat charges $35/mo plus ongoing fees (2.2–5.5% on all transactions, plus 30% on new clients). We charge 0% on your own clients always, and our marketplace referral is one-time only. Once a client books with you through our platform, every future booking is commission-free. We want you to stay because the tools are valuable, not because you're locked in.
How does this compare to Booksy and Fresha?
Very similar model — they also focus on subscriptions over commissions. Booksy charges $29.99/mo with 30% on Boost clients. Fresha charges $19.95/mo with 20% on marketplace clients. We match Booksy's price at Professional ($29.99) with more features and lower marketplace fees, and Elite ($49.99) eliminates all fees entirely. Plus, we're the only platform built specifically for loc professionals.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. If you cancel a paid plan, you'll still have access until the end of your billing period, then you'll be moved to the free Starter plan.
How are processing fees handled?
Payment processing fees (2.2–2.9% + per-transaction) go directly to our payment processor (Stripe). These are separate from the marketplace referral fee. Higher tiers get lower processing rates.
What is Smart Match?
Smart Match automatically pairs clients with the right loctician based on their hair type, service needs, location, budget, and availability. It helps you get booked by clients who are the best fit for your skills. Available on Professional and Elite plans.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes! Save 20% when you choose annual billing. Professional drops from $29.99 to $23.99/mo, and Elite drops from $49.99 to $39.99/mo.
When will courses, products, and mentorship be available?
