Policies

Booking & Cancellation Policy

At Majistic Locs, we value your time and our locticians' expertise. These policies ensure a premium experience for everyone.

1. Deposits & Payment

  • All appointments require a deposit, typically 30% of the service price, paid at the time of booking
  • Deposits secure your time slot and compensate locticians for the preparation involved in your service
  • The remaining balance is due at the time of your appointment
  • Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations and no-shows

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Majistic Locs does not store your full payment card information.

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both clients and locticians.

Standard Cancellation Window

The platform default is a 24-hour cancellation window before your appointment. Some locticians may require 48 or 72 hours' notice — check your loctician's specific policy during booking.

Cancel Within the Window

If you cancel before the cancellation deadline, you will receive a full deposit refund.

Late Cancellation

Cancelling after the deadline is considered a late cancellation. A cancellation fee of 50–100% of the deposit applies, as set by your loctician. This compensates the loctician for the time they reserved exclusively for you.

How to Cancel

Navigate to Dashboard → My Bookings → Cancel to cancel your appointment. Cancellations must be made through the platform to be eligible for any refund.

3. No-Show Policy

  • Failure to show up for your appointment results in forfeiture of your deposit
  • Repeated no-shows (3 or more across the platform) may result in account restrictions, including temporary or permanent suspension of booking privileges
  • This policy protects locticians who have reserved time and prepared specifically for your service

4. Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling follows the same cancellation window as cancellations — reschedule before the deadline to avoid fees
  • A maximum of 2 reschedules per booking is allowed (this may vary by loctician)
  • Rescheduling is free when done within the allowed cancellation window
  • Rescheduling after the deadline is treated as a late cancellation and a new booking

5. Late Arrival

  • A 15-minute grace period is standard, though this may vary by loctician
  • Arriving after the grace period may result in a shortened appointment or cancellation at the loctician's discretion
  • Your loctician cannot always extend your appointment, as doing so may affect other clients who are booked after you
  • If you know you will be late, contact your loctician through the platform as soon as possible

6. Loctician-Specific Policies

The policies above represent platform minimums. Individual locticians may set stricter policies based on the nature of their services.

  • Loctician-specific policies (e.g., longer cancellation windows, higher deposit percentages) are clearly displayed during the booking process
  • By confirming your booking, you agree to your loctician's specific policies in addition to the platform defaults
  • Always review your loctician's policies before confirming your booking

7. Disputes & Support

We want every experience on Majistic Locs to be exceptional. If something goes wrong, we're here to help.

  • Contact us at support@majisticlocs.com for any booking disputes
  • All disputes are reviewed within 48 hours
  • Please include your booking confirmation number and a description of the issue
  • Majistic Locs reserves the right to make final determinations on refund eligibility
